چکیده

Background: Fish is a source of nutrition; however, toxic substances and heavy metals may enter human body due to consuming contaminated fish. The aim this study was investigate the levels DDTs in Liza parsia, fish species, assess health risk contaminants samples. Methods: extracted lipid added with n-hexane H2SO4 kept for long time. upper organic part collected analysis by gas chromatography equipped electron capture detector. samples were homogenized wet digestion method, metal contents analyzed, using an atomic absorption spectrophotometer. risks assessed based on target hazard quotient cancer risk. Results: pesticide DDT, DDD, DDE 0.0414, 0.000253, 0.015 0.0567ng/g, respectively. Also, mean concentrations Mn, Fe, Cu Zn 35.42±10.05, 318.75±242.45, 41.67±4.78 281.25±5.42 mg/kg, Of note, Cd Pb below detection limits. other above reference limits, which can cause various disease processes. Conclusion: four main sources these are likely anthropogenic activities. edible aquatic animals should be monitored regularly determined declared public.
